Il Palazzaccio stands at the edge of the historic center of Mercatello Metauro (PU), on the left side of the river San Martino (or shingles) and starts over the same creek, resting on a fortified bulwark. Former residence of the lords Fabbri, then owned by Storti, the palace is interesting not only for its imposing size of the top, but especially for the massive walled cylindrical base with traces of gunboats and some loopholes.

Former residence of the lords of the fifteenth century blacksmiths, boat-shaped, goes over the creek San Antonio, on a more ancient bulwark.
