  • missweisende Bezeichnung!!! Jeder, der in dieser Region einmal war weiß, dass die Dorm von Wind und Wasser aus dem anstehenden typischen Sandstein des Gilf Kebir herauserodiert wurde. Keine Hinweise auf einen Einschlag (Impaktite etc.) oder auf vulkanische Tätigkeit.
  • How many impact craters do people seriously think there are in west Africa. Many of these structures are simply geological folds.
  • the reason there are so many craters in the sahara is because the craters have been preserved by the low amont of rainfall there. if the sahara was a forest the rain would have eroded the walls of the craters away.
