  • This small town has great restaurants and hotels, geared for mostly American tourists. It was very popular among those who live in Phoenix and Tucson, and only about two and a half/three hours driving time from both cities. The surrounding desert is very desolate and drier than that of the desert around Phoenix and Tucson. The water on the beach is very warm and comfortable. In the last few years, the tourist business has gone down due to the recent violence everywhere in Mexico, including a few in Rocky Point itself.
