This museum is housed in the old rifle factory building, which dates from 1748. Rifle manufacture was of great importance to the city during the decades after its foundation in the seventeenth century. The museum tells the story of the city from that time to the present day. The ground floor of the museum hosts temporary exhibitions which change on a regular basis.
