Hotel where Teddy Roosevelt met with Rough Riders, supposedly haunted by Cpt Richard King, and across the street from the Alamo. It's one of the oldest continuously operating hotels (built in the 1860s) and in the late 1980s connected to the Rivercenter mall (sort of, no interior entrance).

  • According to legend a very young Robert E. Lee rode his horse into the lobby here while stationed here in the US Army prior to the Civil War.
