Puthiyangadi Jama-ath High School started in 1978 in Puthiyangadi village and now it has grown into one of the biggest school in kannur dist. Presently around two thousand pupils are studying and it has upgraded as higher secondary school recently. Puthiyangadi has been developing in the field of education very rapidly and a lot of graduates, post graduates in various descipline has been increased. Main income of the area is foriegn money especially from gulf countries.
