  • There is no lake here. It is a sewage dump.
  • full of shit
  • This a plan by Lake Development Authority to let the encroacher's take over this lake and make it another Slum in the Area and the BBMP and Lake Authority Officials Make their holidays in Switzerland.
  • This is a tragedy of himalayan proportions, attributable to human greed and callousness that Bangalore which once boasted of its lush greenery, its placid lakes and its salubrious climate, has now been reduced to a place witnessing environmental degradation of the highest order. It is so disheartening to see its lakes being filled up indiscriminately for creation of concrete jungles and sewage lines being led, without concern, into the remnant water bodies lying invisible under large swathes of water hyacinth. I really wonder how the authorities have forgotten their minimum sense of duties and responsibilities towards the society and have, instead, surrendered so meekly to the abominable land sharks merely for the lust of some fast buck!!
  • This Kaggadaspura lake, situated in East Bangalore, to the west of Salem Railway line in Kaggadaspura Village was once a fresh water lake of about 45 acreas, the people of the surrounding villages, like, Malleshpalya, Kaggadaspura, Byrasandra and G.M.Palya, was depending on the lake for drinking water (Belive it). Today the Lake is in such a position that even you can not walk close to the lake, it smells so bad due the contamantion by the encorches who have build huge appartments around the lake and let the sweage water lake, due to which the lake has become dumping yard of human waste. Govt of Karnataka formed Lake Developemnt Authority in 2002, having the idea to review the beautiful lakes around Bangalore to its lost glory, but the LDA authoritys have not bothered to even the lake and have plan to restore this particular lake, which is life line of the sourinding areas, with a population of about 35,000 people, inspite of the local MLA Mr. Raghu, who has taken this project of restoring the lake from his Local Area development, but the authorites are not co-operating with him in his endour, blame the Thashildar for not conducting survery of lake, which is now only 32.40 acares according to LDA documents and GIS mapping, where has the remaning 12 acers have gone. Hence we request all the citizens of C.V.Raman Nagar, Kaggadaspura, Malleshpalya, Brysandra, and G.M.Palya to join hands with Mr. Raghu our MLA and Mr. Krishnappa, Member of BBMP to ensure we can get back the remaining 12.5 acares of encroched land from the land sharks and restore the lost glore of the lake, which will make our lives better for living in the area by improving the underground water table and children will breath the fresh air. Is it not our resoposible to join hands with MLA and Corporator, in a service to our mother nature.
  • With Bagamane tech park blocking the Valley connecting this Lake from kelagaiana kere and a series of lakes is cut to a gutter. People remember the fertile lands which have fed the generations around this lakes. Now with concrete/bitumen replacing the green we NEED TO HAVE A community lung space. Loosing this lake we will be living in a Slum. Pushing the next Gen to worst. Corporation making laws to have Rainwater Harvesting in every plot Should also show the same interest and in proportionate scale. The water table to be restored. If not a NEW project improve the existing Which Our Elders have provided. Also true that these days MLA/ MPs are powerless to handle these projects, their interests are different to handle within their tenure. We cannot elect a person with Civic interest but we can unite to develope our own Area. The residents have to unite to develop this lake and the surrounding. See the developments surrounding the Lake, Kaggadasapura Byrasandra GM palya Malleshpalya. Exploitation of land No proper Services, Connectivity or Network. STILL WE CALL DEVELOPMENT. FOR WHAT? Thorough fare through the Urban villages has become a menace both for the residents and also for the commuters ACT UNITE DEVELOPE CREATE A FUTURE WE ARE NOT THE END!
  • If any one is interested to restore and develop this Kaggadasapura lake join with me. I want take up this project with the help of Dr.Aswin Mahesh who has been working with LDA officials for the past 8yers. He restored the lake of Puttenahalli to its glory now and people surrounding this lake are amazed to see the beauty of this lake back. He has set an example for restoring the lakes in and around Bangalore. Let join hands and restoring this lake and gift this to our children. -Srinivasulu K Project Manager at Bosch.
