  • Rajnarain Bose lived the last days of his life at Deoghar. Because of him, the place became a pilgrimage centre. The library, named after him, stand at Tower Chowk at the heart of the city. His former residence, on Rajnarain Bose Path, is in someone else's hands now, as is his sister Swarnalata Bose's house. During his life time, both the houses had been visited by innumerable persons of great repute, including Swami Vivekananda and Rabindranath Tagore. The most recent story about his house would be found at http://rajnarainbose.blogspot.com. I hope that something is done even at this late hour to build a memorial at the house where he lived and died; the house could be turned to a heritage building too.
