Oldest public library of Deoghar named after noted revolutionary and philanthropist Shri Raj Narayan Bose, a former resident of Deoghar and maternal grandfather of the great revolutionary freedom-fighter and philosopher Shri Aurobindo Ghose. Shri Aurobindo visited Deoghar several times during 1900-1907 or even earlier. His younger brother Barin Ghose, another noted freedom-fighter, was brought up in Deoghar.
