Valley located in Ávila, it is remarkable because of its landscape: oak's forests, golden crop fields, old castilian villages and its mountains of 1000 meters high. Its food is also appreciated (specially legumes, beef and tapas). It is well known outside Spain due to the facilities it offers to play aeronautic sports (paragliding,...). Piedrahita, its main town, is a well-preserved castilian village. Here, Goya painted some of his most famous portraits.
