From the imagination of the Holy Spirit, through the intuition of a consecrated woman, Sister Elvira Petrozzi, the Comunità Cenacolo was started in July 1983 as the response of the tenderness of God the Father to the desperate cry of many youth who are tired, disappointed, desperate, drug addicts and non-addicts, searching for joy and the true meaning of life.

These 88 acres are dedicated to the service of God's people.

The Beginning of Comunità Cenacolo
It all began in the compassionate heart of the Father, in the strong yet gentle way that God's love works. The Holy Spirit breathed a radical desire into the heart of a young Italian nun named Elvira. This dynamic, fiery, and faith-filled Sister became consumed with the desire to answer the call she heard from God, the call to reach into the desperate and shattered lives of drug addicts, young men and women whose interior fragmentation makes them slaves to self-destructive and chaotic impulses, leaving them filled with an even more intense fear, despair, anger, and hatred.
The Community lives on the Providence of God, knowing and trusting that the Father, who is loving and kind, will give His children all that we need. We learn to live in gratitude with plenty or with want.
