SPAA’s core focus and objective is to raise the standard of advice provided by all professionals to the SMSF industry.

The association is committed to promoting a high standard of education among SMSF professionals and assisting them to work within the regulatory framework. This, in turn will help the industry to self-regulate and promote best practice.

SPAA supports the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC) and other regulatory bodies and industry associations to promote compliance, in line with the Federal Government’s retirement incomes policy to provide, protect and preserve assets for retirement.

SPAA's profile objective is to see that SSATM and SSAud®accredited members are recognised specialists in the Australian marketplace and will be the SMSF advisors of choice for consumers.

Finally, through providing National and State Technical Conferences as well as Chapter meetings and events across Australia, we are committed to providing invaluable networking opportunities for SMSF professionals.
