"This walkway of approximately 1.5 miles follows part of the former Ashby & Nuneaton Joint Railway. Established in 1866 this railway served the coalfield town of Moira and Ashby. Passenger as well as goods services were run on the line, with the former ending as a regular service in 1931. The last station closed in 1967."
