During the presidency of Juan D. Perón, German Ronald Richter received millionsin funds for his experiments in nuclear energy. President Peron even announced that Argentina had succeeded in producing a cold fusion reactor thanks to Richter's discoveries. But it all resulted in a huge scam when Richter failed to prove his accomplishments and the complex was blown to erase the embarrassment the project had provoked.
