Historic army tanks on permanent display as part of the site celebrating aid to North Korea and fighting against the USA. The armor on display are a T-34/76 tank (1943-production type), an SU-100 self-propelled gun, and a T-34/85 tank. All are Soviet-made and have served with the Chinese PLA; none are believed to be actual participants to the Korean War.

Comments

  • The description in the main text (as of Dec.2014) was based on actual visit to the site in the summer of 2011. However, the polygon has been expanded to include objects that were not tanks but variuous artillery (including anti-aircraft) pieces. Further, the current satellite image does not appear to show the three tanks in this section any more; there are three objects on display that might be the tanks in an area east to this section so they may have been moved there, but I cannot verify it since I have not been there and seen them since this change may have taken place. Thus, I will not alter the text itself but leave the comment here.
