Mau Bhavnath is situated on bank of river Indrasi in sabarknatha district of Gujarat State in vicinity of Arravalli Mountains range.Mau has very historical importance and was one of the business center during British regime.Bhavnath temple of Lord Shivaji is also one of the historical temple of Gujarat and is Sant Marhshi Charak's Tapovan Bhoomi. The clay of the kund (pound) near temple is having unique and proven medical value which caures "Koth" ( i.e white spot on the skin) very effectively.The importance of Bhavnath temple is being taught in primary school sylabus.
