SM City Fairview is a large shopping mall in the Philippines. It is owned and developed by SM Prime Holdings. It is located at Quirino Highway corner Regalado Ave, Novaliches, Quezon City, Metro Manila. It is the second SM Super mall located in Quezon City. It has a land area of 200,000 m², a total gross floor area of approximately 180,000 m² and a total area of 220,000 m², making it the 6th largest shopping mall of SM in the Philippines after SM Mall of Asia, SM City North EDSA, SM Megamall, SM City Cebu and SM Southmall Las Piñas in terms of total area. The annex has about 23,000 2ma and the planned MRT station extension connecting the main mall is located at the 2nd floor. SM City Fairview's key competitor is Robinsons Nova Market (formally Known as Robinsons Place Novaliches) which is just a stone's throw away on the front of the annex buildings.. SM City Fairview offers free Wi-Fi connectivity within its premises.
History:
The mall was opened in October 1997 and underwent expansions in 2004 and 2009, It is the 3rd SM Supermall opened in Quezon City after SM City North EDSA and SM City Sta. Mesa. During construction, the mall had been reported to house the country's second ice skating rink upon its opening, but this plan was hindered when Philippine President Joseph Estrada took over. The mall has 3 buildings, The main mall features main anchors like SM Department Store, SM Supermarket, 12 state-of-the-art SM Cinemas, SM Food Court & SM Bowling Alley. The mall has been expanded with an annex opened in May 14, 2004 which contains the Ace Builders Center and over 100 stores and shops. The annex that formerly housed Ace Builders Center,and open in January 2009 was transformed into an SM Hypermarket. The Ace Hardware now occupied a smaller floor area on the ground floor. The second floor is presently occupied by a call center office called "The Teleperformance"
