The most popular gate of Angkor Thom. Monumental devas (gods) and asuras (demons) on either side of the causeway across the seasonal moat tug on a snake. A 'smiling face' gopura flanked by elephant riders forms the actual gateway. This gate can become a chokepoint during tourist season.
