Starosillia was a former village in Ukraine, located 8 km from the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant and 15 km from the former district center, the city of Chornobyl, in the Ivankiv district of Kyiv Oblast. It was situated on the left bank of the Prypiat River.
The exact date of the village's establishment is unknown.
Until 1986, it was administratively part of the Zymovyshche village council.
A bus route connecting the village to the district center was introduced in the mid-1970s.
In the early 1980s, a 2.5 km long sand dam was built around the village to protect it from spring floods.
Before the Chornobyl disaster, Starosillia had a population of 145 residents, 94 households, a village club, a shop, and a milk collection point.
Until the 1970s, the club housed a library and a small primary school. The village also had a feldsher-midwife station. Postal services were provided by a mail carrier, and a telephone was installed in the club.
In 1985, a monument was erected in honor of the villagers who died in World War II.
Following the Chornobyl disaster on April 26, 1986, the village was evacuated due to severe radioactive contamination. The residents were initially relocated to the village of Lukyanivka temporarily and later permanently resettled in the villages of Lukashi and Rudnytske in the Baryshivka district. The village was officially removed from records in 1999.
