1872 Wooden Gothic/saxon Church by W.E.Crisp with freestanding belfrey by Benjamin Mountford.
Three churches have stood on this site, the first was a simple "V" hut in 1851 followed in the same year by a small timber church. In september 1870 the foundation stone for this building was laid by Bishop Harper. From 1872-1881 this was the Pro-Cathedral for the city.
