hot spring, interesting place
Elevation 6,820 feet.
The water emerges at 140 degrees Fahrenheit, but cools off as it flows down a rocky slope into Buckeye Creek. If you lie down in the soaking pool you can get a refreshing shower right atop your head where the water falls a couple of feet from the overhang. Another small source of hot water is in the creek just upstream.
The creek tends to silt up to where the pool is only ankle deep, so you might want to bring a shovel.
