scuba diving facility / area, ship wreck, interesting place
Wreck of the Chester A. Poling, a coastal oil tanker which sank during a storm on January 10, 1977. The Blizzard 0f '78 (1978) pushed the wreckage to it current location. Broken in two, the stern section lies in 95ft of water and is divable by recreational divers. Sitting up-right on the bottom the broken end opens like a cave. The stern lies buried in mud.
