Lauritsala church is designed by Jaakko Laapot and Toivo Korhonen. The church was built in the year 1969. 47 metres high roof represents modern way of thinking and its real constructional masterpiece. The church is called "The light of heaven". The decoration of the church is wooden and there are seats for 670 people. Polish artist Radoslaw Gryta has made the crucifix and he has given it to the congregation as a donation in the year 1995.
