The main alley of the park, layed out on the Malakhov hill, is called the Alley of Friendship. Trees on it were planted by many famous politicians and military leaders: Nikita Khrushchev, A. Mikoyan, K. Voroshilov, Todor Zhivkov, Gheorghiu Dej, Maurice Thorez, Ho Chi Minh, A. Pokryshkin, the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, cosmonauts G. Titov, A. Nikolaev, P. Popovic, V. Zholobov.
In the past there were plates beside each tree with the inscriptions saying by whom, and in honor of what this tree was planted, but unfortunately during the Perestroika years, all these signs disappeared.
