The Frank B. Clack Health Center is a facility of the Allegheny County Health Department, which is charged with monitoring the health status and identifying public health problems within the county. The complex occupies part of the grounds of the historic Allegheny Arsenal; the wall and two of the buildings (#2 and #6) date back to the Civil War era. A former hospital built in 1908 (Building #1) is the main building; support buildings were constructed by the US Government in 1933.
