New railway bridge

Site of a new girder bridge built in Dec. 2009 at a spot where the earth below the railway track was washed away over a distance of 50 m, during heavy monsoon rains in Nov. 2009. There was just a small drain at this spot till then. Girders were brought by road from Mettupalayam after re-sizing, via Kotagiri, after this highway was temporarily restored after landslips were cleared.
