This building is also known as Sinar Kota, it was once occupied by Metrojaya www.metrojaya.com.my/ before being taken over by Mydin in 1990's. If you never heard about Mydin (because maybe you're non-Malaysian), Mydin boasts to offer the products at wholesale prices as you can see from their tagline "Why Pay More? Buy at Wholesale Prices!"

The Legacy of Mydin actually began way back in 1918 by Mr. Gulam Husen Jamal, father to Mr. Mydin. During the Japanese Occupation in the Second World War, their shop in Penang was burnt down to the ground and they lost everything. But strong determination, perseverance and faith has made one of his children, namely Mr. Mydin Mohamed, to continue the trades of wholesaling. Today, Mydin operates more than 50 outlets nationwide and still continuing growing. As a Muslim wholesaler retailer, Mydin stressed honestly in business and practicing Halal concept in all its businesses.

  • Supermarket for the cheap lowlife. Literally suitable for people too cheap of a person to spend on places like The Curve. Also infested with low class Indonesians and Myanmars and Earth knows where sewer hole they came from, literally a place for lurkers and lowlife, if you are just sightseeing don't even consider coming here.
  • what the heck happenning with leon ? lack of caring from parents, maybe. sick person.
  • I agree with one thing there are just too many foreigners here and most of them are what you would call "indecent person". My friend was almost robbed here once in broad daylight. Maybe Leon is the Malaysia version of Hitler.
  • what is wrong giving warnings to travelers about the place? if you don't get robbed you got ripped off buying the stuffs there.
