Submarine "B-380 was laid down at the factory" Red Sormovo in Gorky, the 15/10/1981 (plant number 133), launched at 08.1982, and December 30, 1982 came into operation, appearing in the last batch of submarine project 641B. When introduced into the Black Sea Fleet was named - "Gorky Komsomolets". Part of the 153 SLBMs 14 Dipple CCF, with basing in the South Bay city of Sebastopol.
In 1985 and 1986, submarine "Komsomolets Gorky", under the command of Captain 2 rank IV Panasenko won honorary awards in competitions for superiority of the Navy for a torpedo attack maritime targets. In 1992 it was placed in repair in Sebastopol. By reason of the termination of funding this was prolonged by more than half a decade. In this regard, the actual personnel of the boat was reduced to a minimum. The boat was renamed back to "B-380.
In 2000, the Russian government decided to restore the submarine. Again went full funding is not just repair, but now and modernization of the submarine conducted LLC Lazarevskoye admiralty "(Sevastopol). On March 1, 2004 on the boat was re-introduced a full staff of personnel.Submarine "B-380" is currently part of the 247 th Independent (Order of Ushakov Constance I grade) division of submarines. Since 2000, this underwater submarine commanded by Captain 2 rank Boris Reznik. Currently, the submarine is renovated in Sevastopol, the planned exit from the repair - Fall 2008
