  • aliens once talked to me in Sniggery woods. Legend has it Sniggery means 'land of the free' in their alien language.
  • As 'snig' is an old local word for a grass snake, that's a rather more down to earth origin for the name...
  • We often visit the Sniggery Woods when we visit Crosby ............while walking the area we talk about the snigs that live within the water ditches that run nearby the perimeter of the wooded area. :)
