  • Restored coal mine, with many points of interest such as the pumping engine, rail sidings and headgear. Mine closed in late 1980s.
  • Very good museum, worth visiting if you're ever in Whitehaven - as is the nearby Saltom Colliery, the engline house of which has been pointlessly fenced off...
