Surprisingly tough, steep and stoney. Best done from the Kentmere end to Troutbeck valley than vice versa: there's no pub in Kentmere to quench your raging thirst; and little parking either. Perhaps you're better off doing something in the Yorkshire Dales. Cornwall's nice too. Or Canada: more people should go to Canada.
