This is a refugee colony.People were displaced from earstwhile east pakisthan and the government gave freeland to the epople to settle here in the year 1956.Prominet people of this area are Sri nani gopal Bala, Sri Nikhil Ranjan Biswas, sri Jayanta Biswas.It was underdeveloped for a long time even the electricity connection was given to the residents only in 1980-1981.
