  Hi, Come friends to my grandmother's village in Ullal. The Train to Manglore stops here for a minute. It is a long and empty platform to dislodge at. Cross the tracks and you arrive at the village gates. There are no gates as such. Two pillars, atop which two rusted lions stand with their mouths open. A brown mud road takes you down, and not far way to the left is my granny's house. She is a sort of Don Corleone, at least in her house. Ever since grandpa died, that is. Grandpa was Luca Brasi. A huge Banyan tree towers over the house. The tree has been there for years. Further away from the house is the temple, the village dance teacher's house, and the house of the village priest. I hope Ullal doesn't become a city. I pray for that everyday. A city is dead and alone.
