This Georgian Revival mansion was designed by Charles A. Platt in 1905 and is of two-story stucco construction. It is the center of the extensive Sylvania Farms in Barrytown. The house was built by John Jay and Elizabeth Chanler Chapman, and later was the home of the Chanler and Olivia Chapman.
