Beautiful Creatures Zoo and museum was opened since 1985 by Wesmi mubarak AL-Wesmi's personal effort.
The zoo features are about 250 species of Saudi Arabian and exotic mammals, reptiles and birds.Of these the majority of mammals and fish.
Beautiful Creatures Zoo is situated 10 KM from the center of Jeddah.
There are a good number of apes like chimpanzees, most of them born in said zoo.
There is a museum established in the zoo to educate all visitors especially for students to learn on how we lived before the discovery of oil.
The zoo was established as a hobby by an enviromental lover Wesmi Mubarak, as he is the agent for Norwalk Wastewater Equipment Company, Inc.(NORWECO)
Located in Ohio USA. The Norweco System was installed for the zoo in 1995 to recycle the wastewater to use it for plants and trees irrigation.
Mr. Wesmi, the owner of the Beautiful Creatures Zoo own Al-Wesmi Stud located in Hada Al-Sham, 80 KM east of Jeddah the stud contains a number of arabian horses, there is also an Ostrich Farm 250 KM in Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah.

  • I visited the zoo and there was nothing beautiful about it. the owner started as a hobby but did he visit zoos in other countries? The animals are kept in very horrible conditions. It was very pathetic to see them screaming out for more room to move, more of grass floor than tiles. When he brought them here then it becomes his duty to provide them a habitat where they grow. A more qualified staff has to be appointed, the ones who have knowledge and experience of animal care. If the management doesn't have finance then it should close it down and put those poor animals back into their habitats.

  • هي حديقة صحيح صغيره ولكنها حقيقة جميلة ونظيفة ومرتبة وقد زرتها قبل أسبوع في العطلة الصيفية وأعجبني متحف التراث الوطني فيها وغضبت بشدة حينما لم أن البلدية هدمت الحديقة العامة التي بجوارها وهدمت أيضا مرافق المسجد ولما سألت قيل لي بأن مالك الحديقة وهو باني المسجد أخذت منه البلدية موقف معارض حين اعترضهم بهدم تلك الحديقة المجاورة لبناء مركز تجاري والذي تم الغائه بعد أن اكتشفت البلدية خطأها
