At high tide, paddlers can reach Rt. 2-4 here (and paddle underneath in a culvert) on this tidal portion of a St. Leonard Creek tributary, Quakers Swamp (Woodland Branch.) Parking on the wide Rt. 2-4 shoulder is probably legal, but there are very steep, awkward slopes on both sides of Rt. 2-4 descending to the water.

  • This is not an easy launch...no beach, no dock...plenty of poison ivy and dense vegetation. Recommend paying to launch at Vera's or down at Jefferson Patterson Park.
