  The very name Manolikkav is exhilarating. Gone are the days we used to enjoy our foot ball and cricket at this premises with great vigour and compititiveness. The festival at Manolikkav had a special flavour of manly thrilling fights over trivial issues which was confined to the festival only. The Vayalalam natives were great sports lovers and even the local foot ball matches drew big crowds. Time has changed and many of the old charm of togetherness is missing. Still I hope those days will be revived by the young generation. Vayalalam Central UP School, was blessed with great dedicated teachers taking keen interest in imparting not only knowledge but also in bringing children together in participation of Sports, cultural activities, and more emphasis given to celebration of Independence day and Republic day with great fervour.
