The Mt. McClure gold mine in Western Australia started production in 1992 and has produced more than 320,000 ounces of gold and has remaining identified resources currently at 950,000 ounces. Forrestania Gold owns 36.65% and Australian Resources Limited has the remaining 63.35% of the joint venture. Mt. McClure has open cast and underground mines feeding a 1.1 million tonne per annum treatment plant. A further plant upgrade is currently being considered, which would substantially increase gold production from its current level of around 105,000 ounces per annum. Historic cash costs are in the range of US dlrs 250-280 per ounce.
