The Waverley Hotel (Cumberland)

Canada / British Columbia / Cumberland
 hotel, bar

The Waverley Hotel was constructed in 1886 as the Temperance boarding house, and was home to many in a time when mining was the primary industry in Cumberland. In the 1920's it became a licensed establishment and has been serving the local and tourist population ever since.

The Waverley is well-known to locals and Islanders as one of the best small venues for amazing musical performances on the Island. Performers such as Carolyn Mark, The ShowDevils, Delhi2Dublin, The Po'Girls, and the Tokyo Police Club, to name a few, have played in recent months.
