Built between 1956 and 1959, the Harbor Bridge is the second tallest bridge in Texas, arching 235 feet above the water with a span of 620 feet. The bridge connects Corpus Christi with the causeway to Portland and transports roughly 26,000 vehicles per day.
There is currently a proposal under study to replace this bridge with a taller concrete bridge that will allow for taller ships, including cruise ships, into Corpus Christi Harbor.
