An impressive and well defined rectilinear field system. The small fields vary in both size and shape and the field boundaries differ in constructional form. The fields in the area centred SW 34952573 are bounded either by earthen banks which have some stone content and average 2.6 metres wide and 0.5 metre high or by earth and stone banks of similar proportions but which incorporate large spaced granite boulders and facing slabs. The field walls in the southern part of the system comprise well constructed in-line boulder walls up to 0.7 metre high; many are reasonably straight with right angled corners. Lynchets within the field system are up to 0.6 metre high and some of the field boundaries run right to the edge of the cliffs.
