Preserving Albany's unique pine barrens and numerous wildlife, including the endangered Karner Blue Butterfly (Lycaeides melissa samuelis). It is one of the 20 largest inland pine barrens in the world and is designated a National Natural Landmark. Many pleasant trails for hiking (or snowshoing).
