A nice little town on the road from Alaska to anywhere else. There are some decent ski hills here as well. It's founded by the dutch.

  • Actually, more than a nice little town. Beautiful Alpine style buildings with good ski hill (some of the longest runs in the province) . Population about 5000. Good airport, serving mining and hunting businesses. Three and a half hours east from Pr. Rupert on the ocean, four hours west of Pr. George. At the foot of Hudson Bay Mountain with large glacier right by the airport.
  • Many Dutch people have settled in Smithers (and the surrounding Bulkley Valley), but I wouldn't say it was founded by the Dutch. It was founded when the railway went through.
  • More than just a nice little town nestled in the ski hills but a beautiful alpine setting. As a tourist attraction the rivers are filled with various types of salmon and a multi-cultural town hosting a variety of stores and restaurants.
