Remains of a group of four 19th century lime kilns. They were built in the early 1830s, were in operation by 1833 and closed in 1893. The stone-built kiln block stands against a steep face cut into the natural slope. Three arched openings lead to tunnels running inside to the base of the kiln bowls. The fourth arch and kiln bowl, to the south of the surviving three, have collapsed. A stone platform on top of the kiln block is thought to have formed the base for a crane. An area known as the stone yard lay to the west of the kilns. Maps of 1854 and 1894 depict a range of buildings on the north side of this yard, which would have included workshops, stores and stabling. Immediately west of the stone yard is a bridge which carried an access road over Woundlands Beck. The bridge is built of dressed stone and has a single semi-circular arch.
