historical building, architectural heritage
Opened in 1914 as a branch of the world famous Knightsbridge, London store. Became independent in the 1960s. The store fought a lengthy but successful legal battle with the London Harrods in the 1990s for the right to use the name, but then closed in 1998 when the Argentine economy collapsed. The historic building has sat empty since then.
