Opened 1956, was originally part of the Deepdale estate, and site of a portion of the original Deepdale Golf Club, which moved northeast after L.I.E. construction had to cut through the course. The clubhouse remains from the Deepdale days, built by Warren & Wetmore in 1925-26, in Spanish-style. The building was thought to be an extension of a country house for members to use, rather than a public building.
