Trevelin

Trevelin is a town in the Patagonian province of Chubut in Argentina. It is located in the department of Futaleufú, south of Esquel, and had about 6,400 inhabitants at the time of the 2001 census [INDEC].

The town was important in the Welsh settlement of Chubut. It was named Trevelin (from Trefelin, the Welsh for "mill town") after the first mill, known as "Los Andes", was established there by John Evans in 1889.

  • Febrero 2013. La primer foto es del "verdadero" molino, ya que hay uno "trucho". Lamentablemente en la oficina de informacion turistica, cuando uno pregunta, lo dirigen al "trucho". En el pueblo hay toda una polemica sobre esto. Fotogenicamente hablando el "trucho" es mas lindo pero, no es el "verdadero". Al margen de esto, el "Valle Hermoso" es.... hermoso!!!! Visitandolo uno entiende porque los galeses se enamoraron de este lugar. No dejen de ir a tomar el te a "Nain Maggie". Imperdible.
