U-2540 was a German Type XXI U-boat of World War II.It was scuttled at the end of the war.In June 1957,it was raised from the Baltic Sea and is now being used as a museum ship at the Deutschen Schiffahrtsmuseums(German Maritime Museum) in Bremerhaven.
It is the only example of a XXI U-Boat still afloat
