Jadhavwadi is a wadi or Vasti of about nine homes. All the people in this wadi have a surname "Jadhav". The jadhvwadi has farms named 'Mhaswadvat, Kalwat, Malavi,Gharakhali,mala'. These are irrigated farms while there are non-irrigated portions named "Shingarkhadi, Belache lavan, bashingache Mal,Pirache Mal, Kanyarkhop, Farist, Kalicha namber aani semiirrigated Tali. The water source is mainly through underground borewells and open wells. There is a temple of Jotiba. This temple was renovated in the year 2001 under able guidance of Mr Nathuram Jadhav. every year there is Yatra in the month of Chaitra on full moon day.The famous personality from this place was Mr. Ananada Jadhav. This place recieves water in the moonsoon for the period of four months. People here are very brave and hard working. The oiging of all these Jadhavs is from "Naherwadi" which is located near Rahitmatpur in Koregaon Taluka of Satara. The story is that Dhanaji Jadhav and Rehmatkhan were friends in the darbars of Bidar in Karnataka. Rahematkhan was angrre with the Bidarchah and he left for the place now a days Rahitmatpur. Came alongwith him his friend Dhanaji Jadhav. This is the family history available so far.
