From Doors Open Ottawa:
"The Bank of Canada’s headquarters complex is one of Ottawa’s most distinctive and architecturally noteworthy buildings. The original five-storey granite structure was completed in 1938, and was designed by Marani, Lawson and Morris, with architect S.G. Davenport, is neoclassical in style. The front façade features two large stone urns, central bronze doors, and windows accentuated by bronze sculptures and marble panels. The glass towers, designed by Arthur Erickson, in collaboration with the architectural firm of Marani, Rounthwaite and Dick, were completed in 1979. The towers flank the original building, partially enclosing it in a soaring glass atrium. The atrium’s tropical garden is open to the public and serves as the entrance to the Bank’s Currency Museum, which is open on the day of the tour."
