The Water Hole (Seogwipo)

Korea (South) / Cheju / Sogwipo / Seogwipo

The waterhole is a popular swimming spot for the expat community of Seogwipo City on Jeju Island. The naturally formed pool has ocean water. The main structure of the pool consists of three natural rock walls to the north, west and south of the water. The east portion is a manmade bridge constructed during the Japanese occupation. The bridge itself is approximately 1.5 meters thick and has survived decades of typhoon swells. The depth of the pool is around 4 meters depending on the tide.
